Kortress (the “Company”) takes the personal data of MyType users seriously and complies with applicable law, including Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). This policy explains how the Company handles personal data.
1. How We Handle Photos (Key Point)
Photos you upload for sync analysis (ideal type and partner) are used only temporarily for analysis and are never stored on our servers — they are discarded immediately after analysis. Photos are never included in any share link, and we do not build any facial-recognition or biometric database.
2. Information We Collect and Store
· Shared results (optional): Only when you create a share link do we store the analysis result (score and comment text) — never the photos.
· Payment information: Order identifiers and purchase history at the time of payment. Sensitive payment details such as card numbers are not held by the Company; they are processed by the payment provider.
· Automatically collected: Access logs and device/browser information used to operate the Service and compile statistics.
The Service can be used without logging in; we do not collect separate member accounts or real-name information.
3. Retention and Use Period
Shared result text is destroyed once the purpose of providing the Service is fulfilled or upon your request. Payment and e-commerce records are retained for the periods required by applicable law (such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and the Framework Act on National Taxes), then destroyed.
4. Outsourcing and Third-Party Provision
To provide the Service, we entrust processing to the providers below. Photos are transmitted only during analysis and are not stored.
· xAI: AI image generation and image analysis
· Supabase: Storage of shared result text
· Polar: Payment processing
Except where based on law or with your consent, we do not provide personal data to third parties.
5. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of the processing of your personal data, and the Company will act without delay in accordance with applicable law. You can request deletion of a share link through Support.
6. Security Measures
We apply transport-layer encryption (HTTPS), server-side access controls, and the principle of minimal collection. Because photos are never stored, the risk of leakage is eliminated at the source.
